Tiers of Membership

There are four tiers of involvement in the Toastmaters District 47 Speaker's Bureau.
Tier 1 - The Professional Speaker
Promoting the Message
Opportunities - Presenter for Community & Corporate Organizations, Demo meetings for new clubs, Speaker's Bureau Mentor / Coach, District Conference Key Note and Award Luncheon Chair
Applicable Skills - Honing genre/persona, Clarity of message, Extended platform time, Excellent networking ability, Able to prove one year of professional experience as a trainer or speaker.
Tier 2 - The Executive Member
Polishing Your Skills
Opportunities - Presenter at Conference, TLI, Speaker's Bureau Training Sessions, Demo meetings, Club Sponsor, Mentor and Coach.
Applicable Skills - Crowd size variation, Microphone usage, Longer objectives requirements met, Varied styles (panels, technical, stage), Learn from Tier 1 members.
Tier 3 - The Premier Member
Positioning for Growth
Opportunities - Contest Test Speaker, Contestants, Facilitator, Guest Speaker, Demo meetings for new clubs, Judges, Chief Judge, Chair Events
Applicable Skills - Increase confidence, improve listening skills, increase organizational skills, increase evaluation skills, ability to clearly communicate to larger audiences, learn from Tier 2 members.
Tier 4 - The Student Member
Learning the Ropes
Opportunities - Manning PRO Kiosk, Photographer, VIP Support, LGM Attache, Website Support, Video Recording.
Applicable Skills - Learn the skills required for Tier 3, Coaching on the workings of the Speaker's Bureau and Public Relations Officer.
